Timesys Board of DirectorsJoseph Raffa, Chairman, has more than 20 years experience as a semiconductor industry executive and most recently as a Venture Partner with Adams Capital Management. Previously, he served as CEO of NuCORE Technology, Vice President and General Manager at Synopsys, and led Hewlett-Packard's marketing for its RISC-based engineering workstation. He earned an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University. Joel Adams founded Adams Capital Management (ACM) in 1994 and has led its growth to $700 million capital under management. Before establishing ACM, Joel served for eight years as Vice President and General Partner of Fostin Capital Corp. Prior to Fostin, Joel served for seven years as a nuclear test engineer for General Dynamics, where he managed chemical, electrical and mechanical engineering teams and directed nuclear power plant sea trials. Joel is a Trustee of Carnegie Mellon University and a frequently requested speaker on the topic of venture capital. He earned an M.S. in Industrial Administration from Carnegie Mellon University. Chris Allison led Tollgrade Communications from a start-up funded with $6 million in private equity investment to a publicly-traded company a market capitalization of almost $2 billion in 2000. During his 9-year tenure as chairman and CEO, the company was recognized on multiple occasions as one of the Best Small Companies in America. In 2005, Chris was named Ernst and Young's 2005 Entrepreneur of the Year in the Networking and Communications category for the Upstate New York, Western Pennsylvania and West Virginia region. Chris currently is an Adjunct Professor of Economics at Allegheny College in Meadville, Pennsylvania and member of the management consulting team at Upsight, LLC. Atul Bansal is the CEO of TimeSys, directing company strategy for LinuxLink, the web-based resource for the embedded Linux development market. He has extensive experience in leading development teams, sales and marketing, product management and customer relationship building. He was Founder, President and CEO of Laurel Networks, where he led the company's growth prior to its acquisition by ECI Telecom in 2005. Atul was the COO of the Data Networking division within ECI before joining TimeSys. Dr. Lee Hamilton was named president and CEO of Freedom Scientific in July of 2002. Before joining Freedom Scientific, he was the President and CEO of AirNet Communications Corporation, a technology start-up he took public in 1999. Prior to AirNet, Lee held management positions of increasing responsibility at Motorola, including general manager of the System Transmission Products Business. He received a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Purdue University and was a professor of Electrical Engineering at The Ohio State University.
