Security Aspects of Hardware and Software Implementations
The topic of security is becoming increasingly important in the industrial environment. According to a report by the security firm Kaspersky, in the first half of 2017, one in three hacker attacks was directed towards computers for industrial control systems. Issues such as data security, authentication, encryption, and secure booting are no longer in the domain of classic infrastructure, but have already gained importance in the factory floor and today’s Internet of Things (IoT) applications.
In this seminar, Arrow will give an overview of the safety-relevant aspects in the implementation of hardware (system solutions, microcontroller, security chips). From the software side, Timesys will discuss deep security aspects under Linux; a demo of a Rejected Secure Image Boot completes the presentation.
